SCHOOL
The main objective of our school is to teach you the basics of course, but we also want you to have as much fun as possible, so that you will go on kiteboarding afterwards, in the best safety conditions!
Here is a short outline of the teaching contents provided by Wimkite during the courses
- All parameters to be taken into account for the choice of the site and the wind
- All procedures and information related to safety
- How to choose the gear, and set it up on your own
- Assisted and autonomous launching
- Control of the kite, and wind window
- assisted and autonomous landing
- Body dragging
- Relaunching the kite from the water (2 and 4 lines)
- Get back to the beach with the kite and bar packed
- First contact with the board•
- Waterstart
- sail underpowered, doing eights with the kite to get power
- sail with the harness
- Fly a 4 lines kite, different settings
- Sail with a 4 lines kite
- U turn with a twin-tip board
- Technics and parameters that have to be taken into account to go up the wind.
- First jump
- Back and front loops
. The usual level reached by the students at the end of a 2 days course is between points 7 and 11, and it will be between 10 and 17 after a 4 days course (depending on the wind conditions, as well as each one's abilities).
. Each one' s goals will be different from one another. The instructor is the best way to define those goals with you. He will also be able to inform you on your potential chances to reach these goals.
. Most of our students want to be autonomous. Great! It is also our
objective!
