You have several choices in the case the wind conditions are not appropriate
for the course to take place:
- Landkiting, learn on the ground with other fun toys, such
as bugies or mountain-boards!
- Wake-boarding
- Refunds will actually be courses provided on other dates,
chosen together
The bad conditions are mostly no wind conditions, or
storm conditions. They are not relative to water or air temperature.
The school manager or the instructor are the only persons able to decide
weither the conditions are not appropriate for the course, and to decide
that the course should be moved to another date.
Of course, we are aware that the last days will need more wind than the
first days. This will obviously be taken into account.
Moreover, we estimate that in case of bad conditions, 4 to 6 hours of
indoor courses are sometimes necessary to approach several significant
points which do not require wind.
Various points taught during the formal training:
- Choose your spot according to the wind conditions and your technical
level
- Choose your kite size according to the wind strength
- Set up your equipment and your security system
- Be able to pack your kite and equipment in the water and swim back
to the beach
- Who has the priority on the water
- Different kind of kites (small aspect ratio/high aspect ratio, 2/4
lines...) and boards (twin-tips, directional boards...
- Advice for equipment purchase, which kite size, which board, and
how much should you spend to keep practicing on your own.
Conclusion :
This means that for a 2 days course, only one day will be refunded in
case of bad conditions, and for the 3 or 4 days courses, any lost day
will be moved to another date.
The refunds are courses you will take at the date of your choice, during
one year.
